English at the bottom.

Mitä järkeä siinä on? Innokkaan odottajan aika on pitkä!

Today, after some incredible phoning, with the aid of our nicest and kindest and loveliest caretaker and the crafts teacher of the open college (I don't think the term "open college" is really accurate - it's an educational centre of the municipality open to anyone interested and willing to pay a small fee) I got a loom! Or rather a part of a loom... Folding, 120cm wide loom. They were just the right size to fit between my bookshelf and sofa bed (awful sofa bed - got it for free), but you can't actually use the sofa bed any longer - or walk in the room... But some parts like the reed and something else were missing. So a colleague of mine is supposed to come to see what exactly is missing, before we go and try to find the parts (they've been stored away for the summer and getting them out isn't the easiest job in the world). But, anyway, the colleague couldn't come today, and will be going to Brussels for the end of the week as four students of our senior high won some EU drawing competition (in Finland). I can't remember what competition exactly, I'll try to check it tomorrow at work. So, I do have the loom, but can't do anything... We have a saying in Finnish that the time spent in eager waiting is loooooooong. I've rented them for the summer (really cheap) and I'll be able to buy them at the end of the summer if I want to (at least I'll know they work). The picture won't interest anyone but me, but at least this isn't a pictureless posting!
