Ufoista fufoiksi tilanne on ihan ok.

From a ufo to a fufo (finished unfinished object) situation is actually ok. That is, I gave up all the sewings - if they didn't want to get sewed in the first place, it probably isn't worth doing them now - I won't wear them. The cross stich hasn't been touched - this is a big minus! But the knitting/crocheting. The socks, the short sleeved sweater and the carpet are finished. The white lacey jacket is waiting for its moment, which will probably come pretty soon. The round jacket is waiting for August and the rest of the yarn. I could start the first sleeve, but I prefer making them at the same time, as then they are more likely to be alike... And the rest has been undone. (= one and a half mittens) and I haven't been able to find any more in my closets. Thank god I don't have an attic ;)

Joten, kun tilanne on suorastaan erinomainen, saanhan aloittaa jotakin uutta? Tai aloitin jo...

So, as the situation is excellent, I may begin something new? Or rather I already have...

Valkoinen, jumalaisen ohut ja kaunis Marks&Kattensin mohair on muotoutumassa huiviksi. Mutta juuri tämän takia tuo edellä mainittu valkoinen pitsijakku päässee kehiin lähiaikoina. Kun lyhyellä matikalla ei näköjään kesälomapää pärjää. Ohje: 5x50g ja minä: 7x25g. Eivät täsmää, tajusin tänä aamuna ja soitin ja tilasin lisää lankaa...Tosin ohjeen huivi on aivan käsittämättömän iso, eli voisin tehdä pienemmän version, mutta toisaalta rakastan isoja huiveja. Siis lisää lankaa. Taas.

The white, divinely thin and beautiful Marks&Kattens mohair is being knitted into a scarf. But just because of that one, the formerly mentioned white lacey jacket will get back into business soonish. My mathematics and summer don't work well together. The pattern: 5x50g and me 7x25g. Not the same amount, as I realized this morning and did some phoning and ordered some more yarn... However, the scarf of the original pattern is huge, and I could knit a smaller one, but on the other hand I do love huge scarves. More yarn it is. Again.

Punainen on Maijaa komeron pohjilta (mulla on aika hyvä varasto Maijaa), siitä ehkä tulee sukka, jos säät viilenevät. Tai sitten ei.

The red is Maija from my closets (I have a rather good store of Maija), and it'll be a sock, if the weather cools down a bit. Or not.

Vihreän hain tänään putiikista. Ja toisenkin samanlaisen kerän. Viime lauantaina KIP:ssä aurinko korvensi naamani ja ennenkaikkea jakaukseni oikein kunnolla. Joten, olen nähtävästi tullut vanhaksi koska aion suostua pitämään hellehattua. Lippikset eivät minun päässäni pysy - en ymmärrä miksi, ehkä on vain omituisen muotoinen pää - joten täytyy tehdä oma hattu.

The green one I fetched from the shop today. Last Saturday the sun burnt my face and especially my parting. So, I've grown old because I'm going to have a summer hat. I've never had one before. I can't wear caps (they come off - I don't understand why or how - maybe my head is of a peculiar shape). So I have to make my own hat.

The loom isn't getting on - I'll have to humble and ask neighbour's men for help. One bolt just goes round and round (even though I put some super glue on it!) and can't fasten the nut. No, I can't hold the bolt at the same time, because the nut is just at the end and on the other side, the bolt is flat, so that I can't get a grip. Annoying. Luckily my belly is full of good home grilled food and I have a glass of rosé right here ;)

Ja tietysti vielä KIP-sukka. Yksi tehty, pari tulee joskus. And of course the KIP-sock. One finished, another will appear some day.
